about

The new face on Duro arrives from the home of techno music: Berlin. Etcha is short for Etchaberri and is Basque for ‘in his house’. It is House music that plays a central role in his sound, ranging from the discoid to the technoid, with cosmic and emotive storytelling at its core.

His dedication has already been fruitful, with Ame & Dixon granting him a winning place in their Muting the Noise platform podcast contest.

‘F2F’ is the name of his newest release, that includes two original cuts and two remixes. The eponymous cut “F2F” is a sturdy, muscular midnight funk journey that propels us straight into space with no effort. On the other hand, the b-side “Stephen Hawking” keeps us floating into infinity while thousands of little analog starry bleeps transport us into a message of futuristic optimism revealed by a great, if not the greatest, human mind.

On the remix end, Lithuania’s bad boys Roe Deers deliver a lewd, almost lascivious, bass heavy mix, while our sentimental homeboy TYU brings the drive with a serious dance floor blaster.
